Chase's Second Day
Chase is being a real good boy (other than peeing on my an hour ago). He's eating well and doesn't cry too often--not nearly as often as Lily Ann in the room next to us. Tina and I have been at St. Mary's since Tuesday night and we finally get to go home tomorrow. Chase will get to see his first Packer game.
Tonight, we had our first Mishler family sit down dinner as we celebrated the New Year with our congratulatory steak dinner provided by the hospital. We've really had some good nursing care here. I feels a little like going to camp and you're a little sad to leave in the end. One of them handmade the hat that Chase is wearing in the picture above. If you want to see the 'color' version, check out http://stmgb.org/Scripts/pageview.asp?id=8 and type in Tina or Brian as the parent's name and you can see him. I took the picture with my fancy camera and transfer the file to the nurses camera. The birth of Chase seemed like a good reason to kick off my amateur photography career (more like a hobby), so there'll be many more to come.

Due date has come and gone....
Well, its about 9pm on the due date of Baby Mishler, so it looks like its going to be a late delivery. There were quite a few jokes at work today about how it looked like the Transportation Manager having "another" late delivery. Tina is hanging in there--I'm really proud of her and grateful for the sacrifices she's made over the last 9 months for the Mishler family.
Tina's next appointment is Monday (day after Christmas) and we'll find out if there is a firm plan to induce labor on the following day or possibly Wednesday.

First Post
Inspired by Kim Upton and my neighbor Melissa Collar (famous party planner) I thought I'd give this "blogging" thing a try. So here it goes.....
Tina and I are exactly one week away from the due date of our baby. We found out we were pregnant the day after returning from Ian and Holly's wedding in Alabama in March. We knew we wanted to know the gender of our baby, but still wanted to be make it a surprise. So....based on a recommendation of Tom Haddon's sister Teri, we brought the results of our ultra sound to Uncle Mike's Bakery in a sealed envelope which they used to bake a cake with either pink or blue colored batter based on baby's gender. We cut the cake with family and friends on August 10th and to our surprise its a BOY!
